A circulating claim gives her the surname Dupuis, on the strength of a 2023 Missouri obituary. That obituary is real and does name a Brandy Dupuis — but she is a Missouri woman, née O'Neal, whose only link to the surname Felz is that her sister married into it. It is a different family entirely. The Augusta family descends from Dr. Michael Wayne Felz; the Missouri family from John Hugh Felz, whose seven children include a different and older Joe Felz. What is graded False here is the 72-hour deadline and the seizure, not the state of the site. The first free release was 18 October 2025, nine and a half months before he died, so there was no imminent release to interrupt; and nothing was taken down, because the site is still standing at its own address, byte-identical to its April capture. In May 2026 he was asking followers whether to release the texts at all — a claim this page carried and has since retracted, and which is not offered as support here.
What is true is stranger than a seizure. The site was not pulled. It simply stopped working, in every direction at once, and nobody has fixed it. Registration fails. Sign-in fails. Every route to a book — /library, /books, /read, /browse, /collection, even the sitemap — dead-ends at a login that cannot complete, because the identity service behind it returned a bare server error on every request made to it across the hours it was watched. There is no notice, no holding page, no explanation. The storefront is lit, the prices are still up, and every door is locked from the inside.
Which leaves the question the seizure story was reaching for, still open and better framed: not who took the archive down, but who was supposed to be keeping it up, and where did they go. Nobody has been identified who can even turn the lights off.

Thursday's reports weaken it further, though less than they appear to: what arrived was a report of a determination, not a determination anyone can inspect. El Observador — the Costa Rican outlet working directly from immigration records — describes Alxzondra as Felz's expareja, his ex-partner. TMZ, People, Tuko, Listín Diario and Excélsior all say girlfriend or partner. No outlet in either language has noticed the conflict or explained it, and no public evidence establishes a separation or rules one out. It is recorded here as unresolved because it is the sort of detail that gets quietly picked up and stated as fact by whoever needs it.

His name is misspelled in a number of low-tier sources, which fragments search results and makes the coverage look both thinner and stranger than it is. If you go looking yourself, check both spellings before concluding anything is missing.
15 — What would settle the rest
Open questions, and when each becomes checkable
These are not rhetorical. Each is a specific thing that exists or will exist, and each would move the picture.
Who operates felzbooks.com, and who receives the subscription revenue?
The single largest gap left. A live commercial site is charging monthly fees on a dead man's project and no public source names the person behind it. Payment processor records, a business filing, or a statement from the estate would answer it.

Neither outlet reporting the determination said. The coroner's county implies an answer; nothing confirms it. A death certificate or a single sentence from either office would close it.
