Eight ways of laying out the same four days

Each of these is built on the same graded evidence as the written investigation. Hue tells you what kind of event it is. Form tells you how well established it is — a solid marker is documented, a half-filled one is partial, a hollow dashed ring is unverified, and a slashed one is rumour. That distinction survives greyscale, colour-blindness and print, which is the point of drawing it in shape rather than colour.
